ACE Admissions

• Complete the application.
• Submit the nonrefundable application fee. The application and fee are valid for one year from the date of the initial application. The fee is credited for the following groups of applicants:
  • Graduates of ACE degree programs;
  • Completers of ACE certificate and micro-credential programs;
  • U.S. veterans, active military members, members of the National Guard and Reserves and current spouses (as verified through submission of valid military ID or copy of DD214).
  • First responders defined as EMT/EMS, Firefighters, or Law Enforcement Officer.
• For bachelor’s and post-baccalaureate level applicants (excluding RN to MSN/BSN), please provide official transcripts from an institution indicating successful completion of the education level required for program entry and any credits to be considered for transfer into a program. The institution must be accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Transcripts are considered official when mailed in a sealed envelope or through secured electronic transmission directly from the institution attended to American College of Education. Coursework completed at American College of Education will also be reviewed from the applicant’s existing file.
• For RN to BSN and RN to MSN applicants, please provide official transcripts from an institution indicating successful completion of the education level required for program entry and any credits to be considered for transfer into a program. The institution must be accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or be a state board of nursing approved program. Transcripts are considered official when mailed in a sealed envelope or through secured electronic transmission directly from the institution attended to American College of Education. Coursework completed at American College of Education will also be reviewed from the applicant’s existing file.

You will be notified of our admission decision through email after we have reviewed all required admission documents. If you meet admission requirements, you will either be fully admitted or provisionally admitted.

International transcripts must be evaluated through an evaluation agency credentialed through the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).

International applicants must request a course-by-course evaluation. The evaluation report must show the non-U.S. education is equivalent to the education/accreditation level required for the program.

To start the transfer-credit review process:

• Bachelor’s completion students (including RN to BSN and RN to MSN): Please submit the General Education Review Request.
• Ed.S. or ABD students considering an Ed.D. pathway: Please submit the Ed.D. Pathway Review Form.
• All other students: After beginning the online application, log into the applicant portal to submit a transfer credit application. An application fee is not required to request a transfer credit review.
• Current students: Log into MyACE Portal to complete a transfer credit application.

If you have already completed ACE programs or courses, you can apply them to other ACE programs, if the following applies:

• The course you have already taken can be applied to your new program.
• Your previous program or course hasn’t expired due to substantial content updates.
• The course is the same or an equivalent number of credits.

• ACE does not accept credit transfer for dedicated first courses, courses with embedded field experience, internship hours, benchmarks, Capstones or the dissertation course sequence.

• Students who wish to appeal a credit transfer decision may do so under the General Appeal policy.

Each program may have additional admission standards, varying by state, including but not limited to verification of professional experience, test scores or an interview. Visit the College Catalog for the most up-to-date additional admission requirements by program.

Students are admitted into the college under the terms and provisions of the current College Catalog, as revised and amended from time to time by the College. New requirements may apply when returning from disruptions in continuous education.

All applicants with a degree earned from a country where English is not the official language must demonstrate competence in the English language by submitting a qualifying score for one of the following:*

Waiver of the English language test requirement may be granted if any of the below statements is true:

• Proof of U.S. citizenship or citizenship from an exempt country: Canada (except Quebec), Ireland, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand or the Commonwealth Caribbean
• Degree was earned from a country where English is the official language
• One full year of post-secondary education in the U.S. with at least 24 credits taught in English with a minimum GPA of 2.5 earned
• Medium of instruction at degree-granting institution was English
