2022 Alumni Achievement Award Winner
Dr. Peter Shipley | M.Ed. in Educational Leadership (2015)
Dr. Peter Shipley is a retired 32-year member of the Ontario Provincial Police, where he served as the chief instructor overseeing four of the five units at OPP Academy. He oversaw delivery and implementation of a wide variety of in-person and virtual training experiences, and also led the strategic direction on police education and accountability. Dr. Shipley has served on numerous police training and education advisory committees. In January 2019, he was bestowed with the prestigious
Order of Merit of the Police Forces for his contributions to police training in Canada. Just months prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Dr. Shipley had the honor of working with the Ukrainian National Police, Patrol Police Department and Patrol Police Academy on police learning strategies, distance learning and problem-based learning. Dr. Shipley received his Ed.D. in Leadership from ACE in 2018.

ACE Alumni Continuing Education Grant*
We’re proud that many of our alumni are committed to being lifelong learners, which is why we offer the Continuing Education Grant to all alumni who have completed a full program from ACE. This allows you to pursue another ACE micro-credential, certificate, master’s or doctoral program with reduced tuition costs. You may use it once per program, for as many programs as you like.

*Recipients of the Continuing Education Grant will be responsible for paying all fees, the remaining program tuition costs not covered by the grant, and any additional costs associated with the program selected. The Continuing Education Grant does not apply to the RN to BSN program.
